Step by step strategy to bring you long term success during covid-19

I know we are living in strange times with quarantines being issued all over the world but I wanted to make sure this stayed at the top of your mind. With all these people at home, I’ve seen engagement rising on Facebook.

The rise in engagement on Facebook can either be a good thing or a really bad thing for your ad. If you’re messaging is captivating and value based you will see your results increase. The bad thing about a rise in engagement is that if you have low quality ads there is a bigger consequence.

The opportunity right now is there, of course some might be saying it’s hard to find buyers or the risk of recession is to large… If you are truly building a business then you’ll be able to see past that and realize the larger picture.

Today’s opportunity isn’t about immediate ROI! It’s about valuable brand interaction & identity that will last into the future bringing larger returns and giving you the social proof and opportunity to beat larger companies entering the market. Of course there are returns you will capitalize on that will justify your immediate marketing and operation costs with some profit but even more importantly you’re setting up ROI for the future that will keep coming back through audiences that are captured today.

Campaign Breakdown - Objective Video Views - We’ve been running these ads in multiple campaigns depending on the goal that we’ve been focusing on. For today’s strategy we are going to go over increasing your Video Views Audiences so that you can collect and segment all of the people engaging with your ad while keeping the door open for lead conversions.

Target Audience - Special Look A Like Audience or Custom List - If you haven’t uploaded a custom list of Motivated Sellers you are missing out on one of the best features of running a Facebook campaign, so I definitely suggest you start doing so. Custom audiences give you more control and help insure more motivated leads but if you don’t have any lists to upload feel free to target using interests.

Ad Creative - Video - I like to start with videos in my creative because you can collect more audiences from them. Since Facebook tracks how long people view your videos you can actually keep that data for up to 365 days and send people ads who have watched your video from 3 seconds all the way to the end. You get to choose based on the watch time how motivated that audience is and create specific ads to retarget them. If you’re a little camera shy don’t worry, images can still do the trick but be sure to not have to much text in the photos and to turn them into Facebook slideshows.

If you decide to go with a custom video I’d recommend using your cellphone and film talking into your camera face to face. The reason why is because there are more and more ads allowed on a Facebook user’s feed every day but the more personable you can make yours the better it will perform. By showing your face it will make the user stop their scroll for a little bit longer than usual and that gives us the opportunity to show the benefit we give in our ad.

Generally these type of videos tend to perform best when they are around 1-2 minutes long. For this particular ad I would say be sure to address COVID-19 right at the beginning and how you understand the frustration and fear that those people who are in need of moving quickly have right now, this is not to be used as a way to increase fear but rather be a brief second to show somebody that you hear and understand their fears and frustrations. From there you dedicate the rest of the time left in the video to purely giving benefit by describing what you do to help them.

Ad Text - I follow the same structure for all my ads.

  • Outline the problem, let the viewer know you hear and understand them.

  • Provide value by telling them everything you provide for their benefit.

  • Re-state who is the best fit and why.
